Hi there! I'm Dani.

I support women to have positive, satisfying birth experiences, and prepare partners to provide brag-worthy labor support.

I am a homeschooling mom of 5, a down-to-earth lover of animals and a nature-explorer.

I’m also that person who always wants to know “why.” When I was a kid my parents joked that if I’d been in Anakin’s shoes when Darth Maul was flying at him with that space bike, it would have ended differently…

“Dani, drop!”

“Why?”

Womp!

Naturally, when I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to know everything. The more I learned, the more excited I became. Women’s bodies are amazing! I also became concerned about the focus placed on the medical aspect of birth at the expense of the human experience. Our culture often plants fear and doubt in the minds of pregnant women. That just won't do!

I'm on a mission to make sure every woman knows how strong and capable she is. I want every birth partner to know how important he/she in this pivotal moment. Birth is a powerful family affair, and I want to make sure that your family stays at the center of it.

Training and Experience
  • Certified Massage Therapist (2008)

  • Doula training with toLabor (2012)

  • Certified Birth Languages Instructor (2016)

  • Spinning Babies workshop (2020)

  • Gena Kirby Rebozo Certified (2020)

  • Lamaze Childbirth Educator Training (2021)

  • Body Ready Method for Doulas (2022)

  • Attended many types of birth - medicated, unmedicated, cesarean, and VBAC - in 8 different hospitals and at home.

I am committed to continuing education. As a member of Lamaze International, I stay up-to-date on current research. There are so many options and possibilities, and I want to make sure you have access to those which make sense for you. I enjoy helping parents navigate and use evidence-based information to engage with care providers, family, and friends.

6 Bonus Facts (because 6 is my favorite number)
  1. I love to cook. I am mostly self-taught, but I think I've come a long way since serving my friends crunchy hamburger helper in my teenage years.

  2. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we've made it through 11 years in the Marine Corps and beyond!

  3. I’m a certified Family Herbalist (a fancy title for knowing my way around basic herbal home remedies).

  4. I get really excited to plant stuff in the spring. Despite my affinity for nature and herbs, I grow babies better than plants....but I haven’t given up on gardening yet!

  5. I am a certified Warrior Krav Maga Instructor. You never know when you might have to kick some butt.

  6. I’m a night owl. I find driving dark, empty streets on the way to a birth invigorating. Plus, there’s coffee!

M Y  PHILOSOPHY

Core Beliefs

  • How we come into this world matters. Each child deserves to be greeted by calm, joyful, confident parents.

  • Your body knows how to give birth. I believe in normalizing the birth process. This greatly reduces fear and allows you and those supporting you to experience birth peacefully.

  • We draw strength from one another when we feel supported, respected, and loved. This environment should be cultivated in the birth space.

  • There is no "right" or "wrong" way to give birth. No matter the details, any birth experience can be positive when the mother is trusted as the primary decision-maker throughout pregnancy and birth.

  • As a parent, you are the best person to make decisions for your child. My role is to connect you with information and resources to help you choose with confidence what is right for you and your family.
